This is always such a hard time for me. I always say that I don't know how I will ever say I am thankful for having to go through this trial, but now I think I can say that I will never be thankful that I never got to have my baby but I am thankful for the growing experience. This was a time when I have never felt closer to my husband. I am so thankful that I had him to go through this with. He was there to listen to me cry alot, and there to listen to me talk alot. I am so thankful for the plan of Salvation and the knowledge we have. So until we meet again I know that Berkley is being watched after by one of the most amazing people I have ever known, my Grandma and for that he is very lucky. When I was going through all of this my friend sent me this poem and I just love it so here it is.
WHAT MAKES A MOTHER
I thought of you and closed my eyes and prayed to God Today. I asked "What makes a Mother?" and I know I heard Him say.
"A Mother has a baby" This we know is true "But God can you be a Mother, When your baby's not with you?"
"Yes, you can," He replied with confidence in His voice. "I give many women babies, when they leave is not their choice.
Some I send for a lifetime, and others for the day. And some I send to feel your womb, But there's no need to stay."
"I just don't understand this God I want my baby to be here." He took a deep breath and cleared His throat, and then I saw a tear.
"I wish I chould show you, what your child is doing today. If you could see your child's smile, with all the other children and say....
"We go to Earth to learn our lessons, of love and life and fear. My Mommy loved me oh so much, I got to come straight here.
I feel so lucky to have a Mom, who had so much love for me. I learned my lessons very quickly, my Mommy set me free.
I miss my Mommy oh so much, but I visit her every day. When she goes to sleep, on her pillow's where I lay.
I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek, and whisper in her ear. Momy don't be sad today, I'm your baby and I'm here."
"So you see my dear sweet ones, your children are okay. Your babies are born here in My home, and this is where they'll stay.
They'll wait for you with Me, until your lesson's through and on the day that you come home they'll be at the gates for you.
So now you see what makes a Mother, It's the feeling in your heart. It's the love you had so much of right from the very start.

K. I am sitting here in tears. What a neat poem that is. I love it! Jill you are amazing. I don't know how you do it. I know your little Berkley is so happy and excited to see you again someday! I love you Jill!
Oh Jill, I never knew about Berkley. I am sure she watches her little family on earth and smiles and give thanks for her Mommy. I have found Kyle's birthday to be a beautiful day for our family to reflect on the power of eternal families (and a great day for another birthday cake and ice cream party). My kids love this day. They enjoy helping me plan it. I give them a book from Kyle and then we donate another copy to the library in Kyle's name (he loved books)! And we let the number of balloons go for the number of years old he would be. Blessings to you and your family on this sacred day.
Love you all so much! Berkley will always be in my heart and I can't wait for the day that I will get to give him a kiss and hug from his Auntie Megan. You are such a sweet mother and have so much love for your babies. I love the Berkley tree you planted!. So sweet.
I Love you! I feel like an awful friend cause I didn't know yesterday was Berkley's birthday! I knew it was close. I love the poem and it makes me cry everytime I read it.
Tears. Tears. Tears. You're an amazing mother Jill, and I love you.
